Abstract
Este documento presenta un inventario etnobotánico de plantas medicinales desarrollado en la comunidad de Santa Marta. Reúne información sobre los nombres locales de las especies, sus usos tradicionales, las partes empleadas, las formas de preparación y administración, así como el contexto cultural en el que estos saberes se mantienen y transmiten. Las especies se acompañan con imágenes fotográficas, muestras secas escaneadas y referencias científicas sobre aspectos botánicos, taxonómicos, de conservación, fitoquímicos y farmacognósticos, como complemento académico y sin intención de validar, sustituir o jerarquizar los saberes indígenas documentados.
Description
This document presents an ethnobotanical inventory of medicinal plants compiled in the community of Santa Marta. It gathers information on the local names of the species, their traditional uses, the parts used, methods of preparation and administration, as well as the cultural context in which this knowledge is preserved and passed down. The species are accompanied by photographs, scanned dried specimens, and scientific references on botanical, taxonomic, conservation, phytochemical, and pharmacognostic aspects, serving as an academic supplement and without the intention of validating, replacing, or ranking the documented indigenous knowledge.
