Abstract
Early detection of Down syndrome patients is
extremely important because it allows applying appropriate
clinical treatments that reduce complications, which both the
mother and the baby occur during pregnancy. The collection and
study of information on the cause of trisomy 21 Down syndrome
is key to achieving this goal. The formal modeling methodologies
currently used for risk estimation algorithms applied
subsequently allow increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the
currently estimated risks.
Description
La detección temprana del síndrome de Down en
los pacientes es sumamente importante ya que permite aplicar
los tratamientos clínicos adecuados que disminuyan las
complicaciones a los cuales tanto la madre como el bebe
presentan durante el embarazo. La recolección y estudio de la
información sobre la trisomía 21 causante del síndrome de Down
es fundamental para lograr este objetivo. El modelamiento formal
de las metodologías actualmente utilizadas para la estimación
del riesgo permitirá posteriormente aplicar algoritmos que
aumenten la eficiencia y exactitud de los riesgos actualmente
estimados.
