En este año 2014, quiero destacar la gran importancia que tiene la celebración del primer centenario del Canal de Panamá, una maravilla de ingeniería que cambió las condiciones no sólo económicas del mundo, al unir los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico, sino que además supuso una revolución en el transporte marítimo acortando distancias, reduciendo costos y tiempo de navegación.
